York University graduate Peter Eratostene is an active bassist in the Toronto music scene. Peter is a current member of the Toronto Symphony Youth Orchestra (TSYO). With TSYO he has performed with Shawn Mendes at the ACC for WE day for an audience of approximately 20,000 people. TSYO has also performed at Roy Thompson Hall, Koerner Hall, Maison De Symphonique and the National Arts Centre.

Peter is a former member of the Toronto All-Star Big Band (TABB). Peter has performed in many musicals across Ontario and is often called to sub in with the Kindred Spirits Orchestra and many other ensembles. He also played bass for the soundtrack of the movie ‘Al Purdy Was Here’ which was played at TIFF in 2015.

Peter has played shows and recorded with many acts across Toronto including John River (rap artist that has been featured on Much Music), Plaitwrights (won ‘Kollaboration’ Toronto and were sent on to Pasadena Los Angles to compete for Kollaboration Star). Most recently Peter has been playing with the Dirty-B Sides/Yo Yo Ma Ma. Peter regularly performs with Jenna Glatt, Katie Du Temple, Seth Dyer, Eric Flowchild, Chelsey Bennett Sole Power Productions and Steve Koven among many other great artists.

Peter was principal bassist for the York University Symphony Orchestra was the bassist for the York University Jazz Orchestra. Peter is not only skilled as a bass player but also composes and arranges for all instruments.
